Floral Funga and Lichen
Until the 20th century, mushrooms and other fungi were considered to be members of the plant kingdom, as they seemed to have more in common with plants than animals. Now fungi are classified as distinct organisms in their own kingdom although they are still popularly referred to as plants. Lichens are a complex life form that is a symbiotic partnership of two separate organisms, a fungus and an alga.
